Pre-launch policy draft

The legal seller name still needs confirmation. The refund terms and service timelines below are proposed and must be finalised before paid purchases open.

1. Who this policy covers

Risk Engineer is the trading name used on this website. Legal seller: To be added — legal seller name. Seller address and contact details are listed on our Contact Us page.

This policy covers the Risk Engineer website and study companion. It covers free PDF samples, phone sign-in and access to purchased study materials. External services have their own privacy policies.

2. Website visits and study progress

You can read free PDF samples without signing in. Our hosting provider, Vercel, may process technical request data such as IP address, device/browser information, requested URLs, timestamps and error logs to deliver and secure the website.

The companion stores study progress, preferences and quiz activity in your browser’s local storage, under an identifier associated with your account. This progress is not currently synchronised to Firebase or across devices. Clearing browser storage removes it; signing out alone does not erase saved browser progress.

3. Account, purchase and support information

  • Account data: verified phone number, name, Firebase user identifier and sign-in information, to create your study account and restore access to purchases. Your name is required after your first sign-in. Email address and city are optional.
  • Update preferences: if you choose email updates, we store your email address, preference and consent timestamp for news about new PDFs and study materials. You can change your preference using Edit profile in your library.
  • Purchase data: selected subjects, order/payment references, amount, currency, payment/refund status and access entitlements, to fulfil orders and resolve payment issues.
  • Support information: details you voluntarily send, such as your contact information, order reference and description of an issue.
  • Security data: authentication events, rate-limit counters and relevant error records, to prevent abuse and investigate faults.

We do not store full card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs or banking passwords. Do not send those details or an OTP to support.

4. Providers and sharing

Vercel hosts the website. Google Firebase processes phone numbers, verification and anti-abuse checks; Google may use phone numbers for spam and abuse prevention across Google services. Firebase/Google Cloud stores account, order and entitlement records. When checkout is enabled, Razorpay and its payment partners process payment details and return transaction references and status.

We share information with service providers only as needed to operate these features, handle your requests, protect the service or comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information. Optional study-update emails are sent only to students who opt in. Providers may process information in locations outside your state or country according to their service arrangements and applicable law.

Provider policies: Vercel, Google and Razorpay.

5. Cookies and browser storage

You can remove cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in, access or progress saving. We have not added advertising cookies or marketing analytics trackers to this implementation.

6. Retention and security

Account and purchase information is retained for service delivery, support, fraud prevention, and applicable accounting or legal obligations. It is deleted or anonymised when no longer required, subject to necessary records and backup retention. We use access controls, server-side payment checks and secure session cookies where HTTPS is used. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your choices and requests

You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a privacy complaint through abhishek.gaike@yahoo.com. We may ask for proportionate verification before acting. Deleting account data may remove online access; we may retain records required for legal obligations or dispute resolution. You can clear locally saved progress yourself without contacting us.

The service is intended for adult exam candidates. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. A guardian who believes a child has provided personal information should contact us to request review and appropriate deletion.

8. Updates and grievance contact

We will update this page when our data practices change. The current version date appears above. For unresolved privacy concerns, use the grievance contact listed on Contact Us; your statutory rights remain unaffected.
